What kind of wax do you use? Is it safe? Non-toxic?

We plan on using multiple kinds of wax in the future but as of now we use soy blended waxes. They are pet-friendly and safe in most environments.

Our candles are made from natural ingredients and are safe to use. Always remember to blow out the candle when you’re done.

Do I really need to trim the wick?

Yes, but of course it depends. You should trim the wick when it needs to be trimmed. If you see a carbon mushroom on top of the wick, it definitely should be trimmed, or if the wick seems very long. When trimming, trim the wick to 1/4" before lighting it. If at any point your flame is getting too large and you are seeing smoke or soot, please extinguish the flame, trim and re-light. (Please remember to give the candle plenty of time to cool and harden before attempting to trim the wick as you do not want wick debris falling into the wax.)

If you do not keep your wick trimmed, problems can occur. Wicks of all candles can "mushroom" at the top which can lead to excessive flickering, smoke, and/or soot. Keeping your wick trimmed also makes your candle safer and last longer. Additionally, it can prevent your wick from curling back into the wax - which fun candle fact, is mainly a problem with non-cored wicks.

How long does each candle last for?

To get the most out of your candle we recommend burning them in 4 hour increments. Using this, we measured our candles total burn time to be 60+ hours! That gives you 60 hours of productivity and/or self-care.

How do I use the candles for time management?

Easy! Light the candle and begin a timer for 4 hours. Using the Pomodoro Technique, work for 30 minutes and take a break (5 minute break) until you reach the 4 hour mark. Once done, blow out your candle.
